FELIZ NAVIDAD!!!

Merry Christmas you guys!! I hope everyone had the best time. I had so much fun here! I got to celebrate the Uruguayan way!! In Uruguay their Christmas celebration starts on Christmas Eve at 9pm. Everyone eats lots of food, kids open their presents, and they all party late into the night. We went to our branch president's house the night of the 24th and it was so fun! But oh my goodness they gave me sooooo much food!!! They started out passing around mini sandwiches and sausages and pizza (the pizza here is just bread with tomato sauce hahah) and lotssss of Coca-Cola. It was really good but they kept putting more and more food on my plate and we just had to eat it all hahaha. Finally around 10pm they started taking all the food back to the kitchen. But little did we know that was just the appetizers so they start bringing out the main course and gathering everyone around the table and me and my companion were stressing bc we couldn't eat anymore hahaha! The branch president dropped a huge thing of ribs on my plate and told me to eat it all! I'm not a super huge ribs fan so I was sweatin' but I managed to eat it. It tasted a little off and later I found out it was lamb ahhhhh! I've never actually had lamb before but not gonna lie it wasn't too bad. But to be honest if I had known it was lamb beforehand I probably wouldn't have been able to eat it hahah so ignorance is bliss i guess but it`s all good because i washed it down with some yummy desserts. Honestly i dont know how i ate so much but i was sooooo stuffed afterwards. Our mission was allowed to stay out until 12:30am that night but me and my companion were so full and so exhausted that we only lasted until 11:15 hahaha. I guess everyone else in Uruguay felt the same way because the next day hardly anyone was in the streets, it was so dead outside, But overall I'm glad i got to make some new memories of christmas in Uruguay! it was a little hard being away from family but im sure i wont ever forget these christmases.

I love you guys!! Thank you for all your emails and reaching out! I love hearing from you guys and it made my Christmas:):)
