Off To URUGUAY!!!!

Hola!!! I can't believe I've almost finished my time here at the ccm.  I leave for Uruguay early on Tuesday and will be traveling all day before I finally get there Wednesday morning!! Wish me luck!!  This week my companions and i have met some of the sweetest Latina hermanas. They have the kindest hearts and are so patient with our terrible spanish. They also have such a different culture than us hahah I love it. One night this week, my comps and I went to a latina district's Casa for a devotional. This one hermana came up to me all excited, and leaned towards the side of my face. I of course thought she was going to whisper something in my ear. Then she suddenly kissed my cheek. I was so shocked and slightly embarrassed because I was not expecting that hahah!! Even though I was flustered for a sec there, I loved it and how their culture is so loving and welcoming to everyone. Sometimes talking in spanish can be very frustrating. I love these girls so much, and I want so...

ONE MONTH

It's so crazy to think I've been a missionary for a month!! I love it so much!! This week my comps and I got called as the sister training leaders over our mtc zone. We got 3 new districts on Tuesday and 2 of them are native Spanish speaking districts.  it was terrifying because we had to give a presentation for all the new missionaries IN SPANISH!! We were so scared hahaha because we don't even know how to explain the mtc in english.  The good news is we survived!!! And the Latinos seemed to understand!! The gift of tongues is real!! This week I've been reading in Mosiah. Everyone should go read Mosiah 2!!! I love this chapter so much. King Benjamin is speaking to his people and I love verse 24 that says, "ye should do as he hath commanded you; for which if ye do, he doth immediately bless you." God gives us commandments that he wants us to follow, and if we do God is immediately going to bless us. I love this thought that God is just waiting to give us bless...

El Día De Los Muertos!!!

Hi guys! These past few weeks have been so crazy! I finally made it to the CCM in Mexico!! Here it literally feels like living in a mix between the hunger games and junior high hahaha. But I'm loving it so much. I'm in a trio with the bestest companions ever and I absolutely love my district. There have been fireworks every night (and day) since I've been here for el día de los muertos. We were so excited for this holiday as missionaries because the senior missionary couples promised us that we were gonna watch Coco!!!! Our little missionary minds were literally exploding. We were so excited we couldn't believe it. We all went and bought mexican candy and snacks from the tienda here in preparation. Turns out there was a miscommunication... we only got to watch the TRAILER of Coco, so instead of watching the movie, we had a wonderful 2hr discussion of the book of mormon while eating our movie snacks. Moral of the story, the book of Mormon is always more important than Di...
